Fall Wedding on the Farm

I was hired a photographer but left a friend.

Quickly after hiring me, Whitney seemed like a little sister and it was truly an honor to photograph her beautifully designed farm wedding on September 30, 2023. I'm not sure if the whole world knew that would be the most ideal day to get married but it was the most requested wedding day of the year.

The sky was blue and the air was perfect, not too hot, not too cold... just right.

This private property is hidden away in Virginia and has only hosted two weddings for family friends but certainly could be a full time wedding venue. There were small cottages nestled around the main house allowing everyone to have plenty of room to get ready and mingle. There were acres upon acres of land perfect for a large reception tent and ample opportunities for portraits with multiple settings. (We photographers love that!)

The chairs for guests were facing out on the amazing landscape of the mountains and as the guest turned to watch Whitney and her mom and dad come down the aisle they could see the elaborate farm home which is still used and lived in today.

The entire day felt special, like home, warm, and welcoming.
